Over the years I have collected a few recordings onto a folder called “BeatMaterial”. Some sounds that made cool rythms, or that sounded awesome for any reason. In there I had a recording that I made when I was studying in Canada. I hit a plastic tube and two friends helped me to record it. Since then I had the idea to put that sound onto a sampler and make fire with it. And 5 years latter, I got to use that sample. There’s even a part of the recording where I said it, and you can somewhat hear it on the beat.
